Adverb is commonly used to give complement in sentence. In this page is explained the use of adverb; to Show manner or Strengthen meaning. 

The form of adverb itself is mostly modified from adjective:

beautiful (adjective)  ===== beautifully (adverb)
clear (adjective) ==== clearly (adverb)

a. Adverb to Show manner 
Manner tells us about the way how action is done.

          Example: She runs quickly 
                          Freddy drives carefully

b. Strengthen meaning
This is used when we want to make our sentence meaning stronger.

         Example: She is absolutely clever
                         He strongly agreed with me
